Audrey Whitticomb has nothing to fear. Her mother is the superhero Morning Star, the most deadly crime fighter in the Twin Cities, so it's hard for Audrey not to feel safe. That is, until she's lured into the night by something human and not human - something with talons and teeth, and a wide scarlet smile. Now Audrey knows the truth: her mom doesn't fight crime. She fights Harrowers - livid, merciless beings who were trapped Beneath eons ago.

I enjoyed listening to Dark Star. The narrator's voice was a little hard to get used to at first, but I thought she did a pretty good job with the story and portraying the different characters and emotions. The story itself, was a bit slow to get started with, but was exciting to listen to from start to finish. Can't wait to read the sequel (hopefully there will be one)! I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys YA sci-fi or fantasy (it's worth the credit)!

Fourteen-year old Sophronia is the bane of her mother's existence. More interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees than proper etiquette at tea - and god forbid anyone see her atrocious curtsy - Mrs. Temminnick is desperate her daughter become a proper lady. She enrolls Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality.

But little do Sophronia or her mother know that this is a school where ingenious young girls learn to finish all right - but it's a different kind of finishing.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to Etiquette & Espionage. It was easy to listen to and held my attention for the entirety of it. I liked the humor in the story, giving it a light-hearted feel. If I'd had the time, I would have finished this book in a day! I did not want to stop listening! Cannot wait for the next book!

Mirabelle’s past is shrouded in secrecy, from her parents’ tragic deaths to her guardians’ half-truths about why she can’t return to her birthplace, Beau Rivage. Desperate to see the town, Mira runs away a week before her sixteenth birthday - and discovers a world she never could have imagined. In Beau Rivage, nothing is what it seems - the strangely pale girl with a morbid interest in apples, the obnoxious playboy who’s a beast to everyone he meets, and the chivalrous guy who has a thing for damsels in distress.

I had high hopes for Kill Me Softly, since I have, in the past, enjoyed books similarly to the storyline. But I have to admit, I was a bit unimpressed with this one. The story seemed to start out ok, but then it went from bad to worst, and then to just plain weird! Not to mention the super cheesy ending.
I do have to say, I did enjoy Kim Mai Guest's performance. She has a very nice voice and did a fine job with story.
