For fans of Tina Fey and David Sedaris - Internet star Jenny Lawson, aka The Bloggess, makes her literary debut. Jenny Lawson realized that the most mortifying moments of our lives - the ones we'd like to pretend never happened - are in fact the ones that define us. In Let's Pretend This Never Happened, Lawson takes readers on a hilarious journey recalling her bizarre upbringing in rural Texas, her devastatingly awkward high school years, and her relationship with her long-suffering husband, Victor.

    D. S. Smith says: "How the Bloggess almost made me crash my car!"
    "Hilarious and endearing.."

On a spring morning in 1951, 11-year-old chemist and aspiring detective Flavia de Luce gathers with her family at the railway station, awaiting the return of her long-lost mother, Harriet. Yet upon the train’s arrival in the English village of Bishop’s Lacey, Flavia is approached by a tall stranger who whispers a cryptic message into her ear. Moments later, he is dead, mysteriously pushed under the train by someone in the crowd. Who was this man, what did his words mean, and why were they intended for Flavia? Back home at Buckshaw, the de Luces’ crumbling estate, Flavia puts her sleuthing skills to the test.

Margaret says: "One of my favorite series: try it!"
"Best so far..I fear I am addicted to Flavia"

Where does The Dead in Their Vaulted Arches rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is the best Flavia de Luce book so far. The narration is top notch. I fear this might be a children's series but I can't help myself.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This plot pulled in all the other books and made me think how cunning the author was to build up all the sub-plots in the previous book to support and set up basically a new story setting for our dear Flavia.

What does Jayne Entwistle bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narration is Flavia. It's exactly the flavia in my mind. I'd know her anywhere.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I liked the Kipling tie in.
