Gail Carriger created a fascinating steampunk vision of Victorian England in her “intoxicatingly witty” (Publishers Weekly, starred review) debut novel Soulless—the first in the best-selling Parasol Protectorate series. Changeless is the second in the series and finds Alexia Tarabotti, now the Lady Woolsey, quite put out after her werewolf husband goes missing. So, armed with her trusty parasol, Alexia boards a dirigible and heads for Scotland to find him.

Where does Lover Reborn rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This series and this book in particular ranks high. I was hoping they would bring back his original shellan, but it was a good twist.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The Angel is my favorite. He is such a jerk; however, he is trying to do what is right for Torment and his former shellan.

    Which scene was your favorite?

I have to say the end really was my favorite. It has such a great twist.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Finding love again - even if you don't want it.

Where does Mockingjay rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I have to say this ranks pretty low. It wasn't nearly as good as the first two books. The turned Katniss into a weak and whiny character until the end. Even then she doesn't show much character. I think this could have been done better.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the very end when Katniss finally ends up with one of the boys and has a family. I won't say which in case someone hasn't listened to this book.

Have you listened to any of Carolyn McCormick’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Of the three I have listen to, this ranks last. But, that isn't her fault it was the material I disliked.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When her sister died was the most heartfelt portion of the book. You could almost see it coming however.

If you could sum up The Ideal Man in three words, what would they be?

I found this modern book well written. I usually read her historical romance; but I found this book compelling.

What did you like best about this story?

It was a very interesting story. I liked the dual story and how Ellie overcomes her troubles with the help of Max.

Which character – as performed by Christina Traister – was your favorite?

I hate to say this but I really like the sister getting married. I really wanted to just slap her. She made a really big impression.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh and think about what happens out in the bad world.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II. With a fallen angel feasting on local high school students, a horde of Bacchants blowing in from Vegas, and a dangerously sexy Celtic goddess of fire vying for his attention, Atticus is having trouble scheduling the witch hunt.

What did you love best about Hexed?

I like the way the witches really thought they would take over the town. Of course, Oberon is still the best character.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Oberon will always be the best character. That dog really makes me laugh. My whole office had to hear about Oberon because I was continually laughing.

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

He really does make the characters come to life. There is a noticable difference between the characters.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, I listen to the whole book in one sitting. I listen to books while working and this book was well worth the time and money.

Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, lives peacefully in Arizona, running an occult bookshop and shape-shifting in his spare time to hunt with his Irish wolfhound. His neighbors and customers think that this handsome, tattooed Irish dude is about twenty-one years old - when in actuality, he’s twenty-one centuries old. Not to mention: He draws his power from the earth, possesses a sharp wit, and wields an even sharper magical sword known as Fragarach, the Answerer. Unfortunately, a very angry Celtic god wants that sword, and he’s hounded Atticus for centuries....

Would you listen to Hounded again? Why?

Yes, I would listen to this book again. The dog is the best charater in this series. He is really very funny.

What other book might you compare Hounded to and why?

This series is very much of the genre I like to listen to and read. I prefer almost all the books I purchased regarding magic, esp, or paranormal. This book is comparable to the Sookie Stackhouse series and just as funny.

What about Luke Daniels’s performance did you like?

I think that Luke Daniels did a great job and really brought the charaters to life.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to this and the other books in one sitting.
