Where does Lord of Chance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is only my second audio book and I liked it a lot.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lord Anthony Fairfax. He is no hero but a man addicted to gambling. I prefer a hero who is flawed.

Which character – as performed by Marian Hussey – was your favorite?

Marian did a great job with Charlotte Devon.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I loved the banter between H and h.

    Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the next book in the series.

And with her brother’s notorious reputation, it’s hard to hide in the shadows. Vane is viciously protective and threatens any man who so much as glances her way. Only one man has the nerve to defy him. The one they call The Raven.

Ms Clee has written another hit! Like in all her other books there is love and more than one mystery. The chemistry between H and h is unbelievable. And I thoroughly enjoyed their verbal battles as well as all references to sea and sailing. The story is fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat until the very end. The narrator did a wonderful job. It's a joy listening to her performance. I highly recommend this book!

Rowen the Restless is one of the bastard triplets of King Edward III. At birth, the king ordered them killed, fearing the superstitions of triplets being evil spawns of the devil who would only bring him bad luck. However, someone didn't want the babies to die, and the boys' lives were saved in secret. Now, over two decades later, Rowen and his brothers, Rook and Reed, are out for vengeance on the man who sired them and wanted them dead.

Unfortunately, I could not connect with the characters in this book. The storyline itself is fine but I didn't care for any of the characters. And it didn't help that the historical aspect of the story wasn't always accurate. It might just be me but I do like historical stories because they give you some insight into life long gone. If they are correct. I did, however, enjoy the narration. Brian J. Gill did an excellent job.

This fourth book of the 'Dukes of War' series is my favorite... so far. It kept me wondering how each of the two main characters is going to make the other one 'cry-off'. That, of course, never happens since all of the author's books have an HEA. I love the book and highly recommend it. The narrator did an excellent job; especially when reading a 'male' voice.

After being left brokenhearted by a duplicitous rake, Anne Adair no longer desires a husband - she wants justice. She's traded in her foolish dream of happily ever after for the much more sensible one of thwarting the blackhearted lords who prey on innocent debutantes. But her first mission proves rather complicated when the dashing, devilish Duke of Kilmartin comes to the aid of her target.

I loved this masterfully written book! I loved the idea of a few ladies banding together to warn others away from gentlemen they consider rogues. The characters were well developed and you can't help but fall in love with them. I enjoyed the book so much that I will go back and read the previously published books in the series. Thank you, Ms. Johnstone, for this beautiful story! The narrator did an excellent job with just the right amount of emphasizing. He has a very pleasant voice and it's no hardship to listen to him for hours.

However, after a chance encounter with a dashing rogue who sets her pulse and imagination cavorting, Mayra initiates a scheme that's sure to force her affianced to call off their union. Until Logan Rutherford, Laird of Lockelieth Keep, inherited a near bankrupt estate, he had no intention of wedding the lass he was betrothed to as a wee lad.

I do love Collette Cameron's historical romance stories that take place in England. I have read a few books that were Scottish romances but never got used to the Scottish English. It's much harder to understand. And even so I enjoyed the love story of Logan and Mayra, I did not like this book as much as I like others by the same author. For those that don't have a problem with Scottish I highly recommend you read To Love a Highland Rogue. The narrator did a fairly good job. Though he sometimes overemphasized.
