Hammish McBeth is a most appealing protaginist and the village of Lochdue and its' characters are equally fetching.
This was one of the most tiresome and boring books that I have ever listened to. The only reason why I persevered was that I had to believe that it was going to get more interesting.
The whole book could have been abridged to 50 pages.
