I liked the history of how her career came about and I liked the behind the scene stories of the players and coaches. And, of course how her disease is progressing and how she is handling it.
I really enjoy her discussions about the role her son plays in her life. I also like the Connecticut's Gino A. discussion.
The way she remembers her players.
Highly recommend it.
It was good. Overall the story made the prison system seem quite fine.
Surprising, entertaining, interesting.
Have not listened to any other
I really had no idea what was 'across the river' until midbook. It was surprising and not the type of book I would have chosen but I really enjoyed it and it kept me spellbound to find out the end.
Yes, I would read more from him. I enjoyed both the Kite Runner and 1000 Splended Suns. This one was good, but not quite a match for either of them. I like this author.
I felt I knew how it was going to end up.
Yes. But, I had to listen very closely due to the accent.
Yes, of course.
Either version would be great.
I am not sure. The story if certainly interesting. I love hearing talking about the house and the mystery death of his wife.
I think either version would be good. I walked and listened to this story so I enjoyed it that much more.
At first I couldn't think how this story about hiking would filll a whole book. But, when it was over I wanted more!
I like her bravery and the images.
Her mother's death was hard to listen to and I think some of tales of nights.
I still remember vivid parts and the story line but at times I just couldn't keep interest.
Yes, I think so.
Well, maybe I have read to many Scarpetta stories. Many parts I liked as I always like the way Cornwell writes but the details of the crime etc are becoming lengthy and technical and they drag on forever that the story gets lost. And, I lost interest as well.
I figured it out.
I think it became tedious. I wanted more story line and less technical description. But, I always hope Cornwell will thrill me with each book. I think I will give it a rest for awhile.
Yes, I would recommend. I loved the visual created by the words. I very much enjoyed the language and dialect of the writing and performance. The story was a about a simple place and time.
A young pregnant girl and her journey. Christmas and his story.
I have both the book and audio. At times I followed along in the book from the audio. I had this for a college class and multiple homework assignments from it. I could read the chapters by audio and study for tests and/or homework with the book. It's excellent information.
No way. Information and concepts are too detailed.
