A belief in free will touches nearly everything that human beings value. It is difficult to think about law, politics, religion, public policy, intimate relationships, morality—as well as feelings of remorse or personal achievement—without first imagining that every person is the true source of his or her thoughts and actions. And yet the facts tell us that free will is an illusion.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I already have. It is very short, so it is a very very quick listen. It lays out the argument for and against free will in fairly easy to understand ways. I wished it was longer.

    Any additional comments?

Not really worth using a credit on this book, but very worth the few dollars it cost me.

Where does Spy the Lie rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This was, at the time I listened to it the best book I had listened to. Its still great, but the one I am on now is even better.

What about Fred Berman’s performance did you like?

Very easy to listen to, nice smooth easy to listen to voice.

    Any additional comments?

If you have ever wanted to know for sure if someone is telling the truth, or hiding things from you this is a book you will want. They go over real world examples of times when people are flat out lying, and you know they are, but this book tells you HOW you know, so that you can spot it in other real life situations. What is amazing about this book is that they go beyond the typical things people look for when you think they are lying. Most of that is garbage. They show you new things to look for that are much more reliable in spotting a lie. While you wont know exactly what the truth is, you will know where to press them for more information so you can get the truth.

"What should we have for dinner?" To one degree or another, this simple question assails any creature faced with a wide choice of things to eat. Anthropologists call it the omnivore's dilemma. Choosing from among the countless potential foods nature offers, humans have had to learn what is safe, and what isn't. Today, as America confronts what can only be described as a national eating disorder, the omnivore's dilemma has returned with an atavistic vengeance.

Stephen Redding says: "Great presentation of a moral dilemma"
"This book is a MUST have!"

Would you listen to The Omnivore's Dilemma again? Why?

Yes, it is way to long to take everything in on the first listen. This is an amazing book that has changed the way I view food, and what I buy at the store.

    Any additional comments?

This book makes me want to know more about the food I buy and eat and provide for my family. It made me think about food in a way I never would have thought. Without even saying it directly, the book makes the connection that industrial agriculture is likely to blame for the spike in cancer and other illnesses effecting our country and the industrialized world. It almost makes me want to grow my own foods so not EVERYTHING I eat is corn. I will be buying 4 or 5 copies of the paperback for my family to give them this holiday. Also, the voice actor was incredible. I hope to hear him again. Very easy to listen to him.

What made the experience of listening to Star Wars: Darth Plagueis the most enjoyable?

Many voices and special effects sounds, was very fun to listen to.

Have you listened to any of Daniel Davis’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No, but the voice actor was very good. I would love to listen to him again if he did a title I was interested in.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was far to long for that, but I did get through it much faster than some other books.

    Any additional comments?

For anyone wanting to know the history of the emperor, this will fill you in, and explains Vader. Over all a very good book with a wonderful voice actor.
