What did you love best about I Can See You?

I must have read this book some time earlier, still loved it but figured figured out villian too soon, which took away the surprised ending for me. Noah and Eve all both damaged and it makes them so real.

What does Elisabeth S. Rodgers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

    She did a great job

Would you listen to Closer Than You Think again? Why?

I have listened to it twice already, as soon as I finished it I relistened to it to re-hear clues that soared over my head until the end.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Closer Than You Think?

When Deacon figures out Faith is a gamer and loves comics. The book does have many other memorable moments but that one sticks out for me the most. If I list all of them I would just pretty much rewrite the book, it was that good.

What about Hillary Huber’s performance did you like?

    She did a great job.

    Any additional comments?

I fell across this book never have heard of Karen Rose amd an very glad I did. I ended up going ahead and purchasing all her other books.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Liar to be better than the print version?

The print version would have sped it up so I could quickly read over the boring parts, however, I usually read too fast and end up missing a lot. This book didn't have many dull parts, thankfully.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I, like the previous reviews, figured the plot out fairly quickly; but I didn't how Nora Roberts would put it all together. It was a bit too much romance and not enough suspense than I normally like. But I did enjoy it enough to give an overall 5 stars. If you like NR then this book is for you.

What does January LaVoy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She did an amazing performance. One scene in the book a female was crying in hysterics and it was so convincing. It really impressed me, most narrators always fall short on that emotion, but J LaVoy aced it. I did, however, dislike the daughter's voice, but again most narrators do a poor imitation of children.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

There were a few but the ending made me tear up, which is rare for me. But it was so sweet, yes maybe a little sappy but in a good way.

    Any additional comments?

It did start out slow and take me a while to get into but glad I stuck it out.

What did you love best about In His Keeping?

Too many good parts, it's not overloaded with sex, and has great action scenes. I normally do not go for paranormal books but Maya Banks seems to be the exception.

What other book might you compare In His Keeping to and why?

Whisper In The Dark by Maya Banks. The story lines are completely different but these two are in my top 10 all time favorites.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When Ari gets mad stay out of her way!

    Any additional comments?

This one is much better than the first in the series and I loved it. I cannot wait for the next one.

What did you like best about Love Irresistibly? What did you like least?

First 2 books were great. I knew 3rd was chic lite and bought anyway. I was hoping this one would have some suspense but sadly no. It was too chic lite for me. I think my Julie James days are done.

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Karen is a good narrator that has grown on me. She has a good range and you can tell characters apart.

This one is perfect if you like an easy happy endings with no thrills.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I will recommend this book and others by Julie James. She writes sound stories with a smart funny hand.

Have you listened to any of Karen White’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

All Karen White 's performances are just ok. She seems to do better if I enjoy the book, oddly enough.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Nick realizes he loves Jordan, or when he calls his mother about her...actually there are too many and all different points pop in my head. So pretty much the whole book.

    Any additional comments?

This is the second book in the series and I listened to this one first and immediately purchased the first one. I cannot wait to buy the third, even though the reviews are iffy I'm still going to purchase.

What about Karen White’s performance did you like?

I don't really like Karen White, there's something about her, she always sounds like she's shaky. However she does a lot better than many other narrators.

    Any additional comments?

I have finally found a new author and I love Julie James. If you like Julie Garwood you will love this author. I am going to purchase other books now.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

This was my first Rebecca Zanetti novel, it was good but not "blow my mind awesome" I will purchase the next in the series so yes it was worth the time.

What does Karen White bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was my first Karen White listen and she did well. The characters all have different "voices" and you can tell them apart. It drives me nuts when they all sound the same. She is not in my top five favorite narrators but will definitely listen to others by read by her.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

It kind of has a "Universal Soldiers" feel to it so yes I would go see it. But the second movie sucked so I am hoping the second novel lives up to the first.

Money certainly changes Jenner Redwine's life when she wins a lottery jackpot. But it also costs her plenty: Her father rips her off and disappears, her fortune-hunting boyfriend soon becomes her ex, and friends-turned-freeloaders give her the cold shoulder when she stops paying for everything. Flush with new money, Jenner can't imagine ever finding a place in the world of the wealthy. Seven years later, though, she's rubbing elbows with the rich, despite the fact she still feels like a party crasher.

What did you like best about Burn? What did you like least?

This would have been a good fiction novel but it is not a romance novel. If you removed the sudden "love and forever" between the two characters it is a decent story, I just couldn't get over the rush ending. It was like LH ran out of patience with the writing and gave up.

What was most disappointing about Linda Howard’s story?

LH is my favorite author, but this fell very short. There's no character chemistry as in her other books. The main characters hate each and then BAM they're in love, not even hopeless romantic me could buy it.

What about Joyce Bean’s performance did you like?

Joyce Bean is one of my favorite narrators and did a great job as usual.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No, the characters were dull and didn't have the usual linda howard spark. There were a lot of good reviews and I really needed a good LH book and this wasn't one .

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I couldn't find anything interesting about this one.

How could the performance have been better?

The narrator made all the characters sound dull and didn't convey any emotions.

Was Mackenzie's Pleasure worth the listening time?

No really, I wished I had saved my money and time on this one.
