It was just another after-work happy-hour bar downtown, where business professionals unwound with a few drinks, complained about the boss, maybe hooked up with someone for the night. Until something went terribly wrong. At first it was just a friction in the air. The noise intensified. The crowd seemed oppressive. Some sharp words were exchanged, some pushing and shoving. Then the madness descended. And after 12 minutes of chaos and violence, 80 people lay dead.

What would have made Delusion In Death better?

I don't know if I would have liked the story more with a different reader or not. The story was kind of dumb, but the reader made it worse.

Would you ever listen to anything by J. D. Robb again?

    probably not

What didn’t you like about Susan Ericksen’s performance?

    overly dramatic

The author of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil returns after more than a decade to give us an intimate look at the "magic, mystery, and decadence" of the city of Venice and its inhabitants.

I loved "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" and couldn't wait to listen to "Falling Angels." What a disappointment. I was completely bored by the whole book. It wasn't at all engaging--my mind kept wandering whenever I tried to listen. None of the characters--of which there are too many to keep track of--were sympathetic or even interesting. Also, there is a tedious amount of detail about totally uninteresting topics.
