Army Special Agent John Puller is the best there is. A combat veteran, Puller is the man the U.S. Army relies on to investigate the toughest crimes facing the nation. Now he has a new case - but this time, the crime is personal: His aunt has been found dead in Paradise, Florida.

Would you try another book from David Baldacci and/or Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ?

I read all of Baldacci's books and always enjoy Ron McLarty's narration (Orlagh-not so much). As a long time Audible listener, I rarely listen to a sample; I read the book's reviews and decide on that. Going forward, however, I will listen to samples before purchasing because the sound effects in this book were too distracting to finish. A couple times I paused the book, pulled out my earbud and looked around, thinking the noise was something going on around me. I will borrow my friend's hard copy to finish the story; and I won't listen to another Audible book with sound effects.

What aspect of Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy ’s performance would you have changed?

I would have preferred McLarty narrating the entire book.

Was The Forgotten worth the listening time?

No, only the second time in many years I didn't finish an Audible book. Not the story and not Ron McClarty's narration, but the the distracting sound effects.
