    "good story disappointing narrator"
    Overall

Intriguing story but the narrator was not the best. Not much difference in character voices made it hard to figure out who was talking. Aside from the narrator I did enjoy the story.

Just as a side note Audible needs to have two separate ratings for the story and the narrator. I would've given the following in that case.
Story 5 stars once I get past the voices I enjoyed the ride.
Narrator 3 stars not bad just not as entertaining as some of the others I've heard.

Tufo is the best. From the amazingly descriptive gory battle scenes to the hilarious comments that Michael seems to be able to come up with in the best/worst times, Tufo does it right. I found myself laughing one minute, sorrowful the next and then laughing all over again. I was extremely disappointed that the book ended so soon.

Will Patton is an excellent narrator.

Where does The Spirit Clearing rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

    Top 10

Have you listened to any of Sean Runnette’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Runnette's performances are great! I've only listened to his work with Tufo but I will explore his other work.

Who was the most memorable character of The Spirit Clearing and why?

    Talbot of course.

    Any additional comments?

I just finished the audiobook and all I can say is wow. I can't really say I knew what was coming but I had an idea. Even so the way you tell the story and Runnette gives life to your words I was so caught up I forgot that I ever had an idea what was gonna happen. It's been a while since inward so caught up in a story that I was disappointed it came to an end. Well done!

Jack Ryan, the former president of the United States, is out of office, but not out of the loop about his brainchild, the “Campus” - a highly effective, counter-terrorism organization that operates outside the Washington hierarchy. But what Ryan doesn’t know is that his son, Jack Ryan, Jr., has joined his cousins, Brian and Dominic Caruso, at the shadowy Campus. While a highly effective analyst, young Ryan hungers for the action of a field agent.

Shawn Burton says: "Superb! More Clancy/LDP!"
"Not the normal but still good"
    Overall

I've come to enjoy the highly detailed descriptions of events the Clancy is known for so I've been slightly disappointed by his latest "short" books. This doesn't mean they are not good just a little different. He seems to have a sixth sense when it comes to the terrorists. The once Kicked around title "in plain sight" is accurate in the book and in real life.
Lou Diamond Phillips is a great narrator, I will look for more of his work as well.

First published by H. G. Wells in 1898, The War of the Worlds is the granddaddy of all alien invasion stories. The novel begins ominously, as the lone voice of a narrator intones, "No one would have believed in the last years of the 19th century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's."

Even though the time frame is generations ago this is a fantastic book. This comes from a big techno-file. It amazes me this came from so long ago.

It was the last-chance moment of the war. In January 2007, President George W. Bush announced a new strategy for Iraq. He called it "the surge". "Many listening tonight will ask why this effort will succeed when previous operations to secure Baghdad did not. Well, here are the differences," he told a skeptical nation. Among those listening were the young, optimistic Army infantry soldiers of the 2-16, the battalion nicknamed the Rangers.

Candy says: "This book is amazing, but brutal"
    "Soldier's story almost without politics"
    Overall

Powerful story of the soldiers with very limited politics. No completely blatant Bush bashing but there is a twinge of a liberal swing. But forget that because it is barely noticeable and the stories of the soldiers involved is very powerful.
