As always the narration. It is back to its outstanding form.

Not quite but the plot was intriguing.

All the In Death series have been great with only a few exceptions.

Quite a few the scenes between Dallas and Nixie and also between Dallas and Somerset regarding Nixie were particularly moving as only Dallas can make them.

The characters including the suspects.This one has the young officer in it a bit more. Nice to see his character developing.

The narration was back on track. Susan Erickson breathes life into all the characters.

Not quite as I was driving but it certainly kept my attention. The way it is written any one of the suspect could have done it, but you have to listen to the end to find out the who and why.

I have listened to all previous "In Death" novels and this is back to the original form. Susan Erickson's portrayal of Peabody is priceless.

Peabody and Dallas often make me laugh, they are great. When Dallas has flashbacks it can be quite emotional. I feel Susan Erickson's performance makes these moments very real.

I have never read a print version of any of the "In Death" series and after listening this far I think the audio is better. I couldn't enjoy the stories without the excellent narration.

Without giving too much away, the fight at the end is quite amusing.

This is not one of the better narrated books only because, according to a previous review, Susan Ericksen didn't start narrating the books at #1. This is one of the first books she did and was still getting a feel for the characters. It was slightly confusing between the female characters but as I had listened from book #1 I didn't have too much trouble.

I wish I could listen to the whole series in one sitting, but honestly, I enjoy listening on the way to work, its like an audio mini-series for me.

Yes, anyone who enjoys a good murder with a bit of humor on the side will enjoy this book.

No, not really as the murderer was revealed earlier than usual but I had to listen to the end to find out how they were caught.

Peabody's voice is great also Rourke's Irish brogue is charming.

An interlude with Dallas is never boring.

The narration and the great story line.

Well as I was driving I had to sit back a bit but the plot was interesting, the narration added life to the characters. There is also some individual insights with regard to the characters, this added extra dimension.

All of it. She is the character she is reading. The switches between dialogue is seamless. Its easy to tell who is speaking, just by her voice change. Awesome!!!!

Without giving the story away there was a part near the conclusion that stopped my heart.
