I couldn't get into this one. SK is one of my favorites but there wasn't anything in the beginning that made me want to keep turning the page (or turning up the volume.) Have to admit I didn't finish it.
Jut enough of everything - the zombies we have come to love, the ghouls that are evolving and controlling the zombies, and then there's the bully. Action with fighting, realistic strategic warfare, survival and emotions all wrapped up in one,
Definetely left me wanting more
Storyline is slow at first. You don't really get to know the characters so it's hard to tell what the motives are. People trapped in an office building because of flesh eating zombies and they don't seem too bothered about the why and how. They can make a daring trip to the school cafeteria but don't consider any other options or escape routes.
Surprise ending which was refreshing - too bad the rest of the story wasn't.
Reinforces just how egotistical humans are. We think we're smarter than everyone else and have all the answers even before we know the answers. The ending was great.
I would have liked a faster beginning - I grew tired of nothing happening other than the dull day to day trials of surviving. I could have done without the long walks to the center of the town to see what was happening. But once they left town - that's when things get interesting.
Good mystery! It kept my interest because I wanted to know and was determined to find out what the lists had in common. Tempo was good although sometimes sketchy.- he went into detail on some things (clothes etc) that I didn't feel added to the story but it wasn't boring. Characters were cloned from great men (and women) from history but don't really seem amazed at that. You mean no one has ever told you you look just exactly like Jack the Ripper or Joan of Arc before? This realization doesn't seem to shock any of them. Action is good and dialog is good and believable . Narator is vey engaging keeping charaters true througout the book.
This is a good read. I would definetely recommend.
Good story - characters are believable. Good pace - kept me wanting to hear more just to see if they could survive. I was right there with them.
Started off fast and strong with several turns. Thought it would be a strong ending but was disappointing. Ending didn't match the journey.
Never a dull moment from the beginning to the end. Fast paced and entertaining. Not disappointed.
What a great story! Captures your attention right at the beginning and makes you want more. This one is suspenseful, energetic and imaginative. You're right there with all of the characters.
This book's target audiance may be teens but this is a greeat read for any age that enjoys adventure, romance, survival and sci-fi .
Probably my fault but I was expecting more action. Instead I learned about the paperwork of an airline manufacturing company which a little goes a long way. I kept waiting for something to happen but it just never did.
Ending was a let down - felt like I could have spent my time more wisely.
This author is usually on my top 3 but not today with this one.
Grabs your attention at the very beginning. Not what you expect instead it takes a turn for the interesting. Makes you want to keep reading.
Ending was not anticipated. Never would have guessed or come close to the comclusive end. Very refreshing!
Just the right inflection at the right times. Made the characters and story come to life.
Made me think.
