This book would be exciting if you were 14. It just drags on and on with juvinile language and story telling. I cound not finish it, I was too annoyed.
I had a very hard time with this one. The 'southern belle' accent of the main character drove me nuts, and the story just never GOES anywhere. I had to stop listening after he first half, and never finished it.
This book is more suitable if you are a young adult. The subject matter is interesting, but the manner of presentation is certainly more suited for teens, and the narrator reads it in that sense. It moved along well, but felt like I was listening to my teenage children talking.
This book is what I used to expect from a Stephan King novel. The last bunch he has written have been disappointing, but this one is King back at his best! I listened to this book on Holidays in Mexico, laying by the pool. What a perfect setting to listen to this book, with it's wonderful narrator! He was absolutely fantastic, and kept the players real. Loved it.
I found the narrater of this book very distracting, bordering on annoying. His voice was just too grating to listing to easily, and his portrayal of the female or child's voice was almost always with a whining and mewling cast to them. Love Stephan King, and this book series, did not enjoy this listen!
