"Good Material; Bad Format - 3 1/2 Stars"
This material is 5-star excellent with good narration, but you should buy the physical book as there are many references to charts and tables, so the format gets 2 stars. I listen to audiobooks during my daily commute, so I did not get to see the material referenced.
"Required Economic Reading"
Narrator Dick Hill emotes Stiglitz' material perfectly. Stiglitz outlines the path the past three decades have led to this inevitable Great Recession commenced in 2008, pointing fingers at the culpable parties in both political parties. He also explains how to prevent it going forward by aligning business goals with social goals.
"3 Stars for the Audiobook, and 3 for the Reviewer"
The problem begins with me. I didn't realise this was an abridged version, so I grant myself 3 stars, too. Beowulf is not such a long story that I would have considered abridging it. Seamus Heaney did a wonderful translation of the book, and he reads it so well. I was disappointed that the copy was cut. I hope an unabridged version will be available soon. I will snap it up. Until then, I will have to endure the agony of an incomplete work.
