The scene with the cats was by far, one of the most disgusting and horrific chapters of this whole series. It was so intense I had to listen to it twice!! I absolutely loved it!!!!
I almost passed this book by after reading the other reviews, I am very grateful I didn't. Yes there were a few flashbacks that were pretty detailed and long winded but the minimal annoyance of those chapters was worth the revelations and character growth of this story.
Not to mention that frig'n cat scene, I will remember it for years! If you enjoy this series don't skip this one!!!
Disappointment---my expectations for the lusty sex scenes were not met.
This book contains 2 short stories.
I have listened and loved all the Wicked Lovers books, sadly, I don't think this one it's worth a credit.
I can't get enough of this series. Ray Porter has stolen my ears and Joe Ledger has stolen my heart!!!
The fight scenes and gory descriptions will keep me coming back for more.
A decent ending to the series. The story line tied up loose ends but left a thread for a next round of books. I thought book 5 &6 were the best in the series because the gross descriptions and creep-moments were off the chart!
John Morgan did a decent job, i would listen to him again.
Let me first say, I do not enjoy chick flicks, all the mushy love crap doesn't work for me. This was a slow moving love story. I finished the book but i regret spending a precious credit on it. I chose the book from some of the other reviews,I thought this was a more erotic story and less learning and exploring new love. Inferno should be changed to a morning after smoulder.
I was glued to this book and thought about what I would do if i was involved in the plot.
It was just that good.
Gillian Flynn has become one of my favorite authors. She really wraps up a story with all the bows and whistles.
A well written fun and interesting story, with decent character development and thickening plot. Waiting for the next installment.
The first moment they realized what was in room 14. Rocked it!!
The universe with a twist of the door knob.
I will try any book narrated by Ray Porter, but his Joe Ledger is still by far my favorite.
I enjoyed the real life issues and characters this book works on. Obviously being rich makes it easier, but life is life.
Looking for the next one.
Excellent story, well crafted and written, the performance was a complete compliment to the book.
I experienced a full range of emotions for the characters.
Disgust, rage, love, sympathy. By the end of the book, I had cheered for the "bad guy" and boo'd the "good girl" and everything in between.
I didn't feel the characters or dialogue conveyed enough emotion for me to become attached to the story, for this reason, I am not sure if I will continue onto book 2. The premis of the story had real potential but it didn't complete the points for me.
