I purchased word smart a few months ago. As one reviewer has already mentioned, some of the words presented in the audio book are a bit basic. That being said, there were plenty of vocabulary words were novel to me and, due to the dynamic didactic style, I learned the new words with ease and alacrity. Interestingly, now that I have assimilated many of the more obscure words into my mental dictionary, I seem to notice those particular words in speech and written form on a regular basis. What did I do before Word Smart??
As I alluded to before, the teaching format that Word Smart utilizes is perfect for my learning style. As such, I purchased Word Smart II and can say with sincerity, that I am continuing to expand my vocabulary just as quickly and easily as I did with the first audio book.
Book II is a worthy purchase. I would have rated it a five if the word list mentioned in the book was available for download.
The "New English Version" is an ill-translated, uninspiring bore, narrated in a most drab, unenlightened manner.
I am so disappointed with this version of the "Tao" that I have not been able to listen to it through its conclusion. I have decided to purchase an earlier translation. Take my advice; try another version of the "Tao"
