"My favorite"
After reading reading most of the series, 2 last books pending, this is my favorite one, I have listened several times and enjoyed more each time, funny and intriguing.
"Enjoyable"
Yes, very entertaining, characters to care about.
The Sherlock Holmes series, about the same period, crime suspense, investigation.
Giving voice to the different characters makes you care more for them
Just the final chapters
"Good sequel, can't wait for the third book"
I loved The Strain, I listened to it several times, so I was waiting for this realease; I liked a lot but I still prefer the first book, I'm looking forward for the third installment and find out how Dr. Goodweather copes with the challenge.
I miss Ron Perlman,a work by Del Toro is not complete without him.
"My first Murakami experience"
I loved the book, I did not know what to expect so it was a wonderful surprise, never boring always intriguing and very interesting; loved the characters. I already bought Kafka on the Shore and Norwegian Wood, can't wait to start listening.
"Good stories but..."
The tibetan stories are excellent but the comentator doesn't leave room to draw the reader's own conclusions it offers a pont of view even before the story is finished, is very annoying, I stopped listening.
"Excellent!"
Very enjoyable, excellent characters and good messages for young readers and older too. The narrator was also very good.
"Violent but good reading"
At first I found the violence, especially toward women, hard to listen to, but the plot is very good in the final balance.
"nothing extraordinary"
Being fan of Umberto Eco I expect a lot of historical novels, this one is only entertaining but I kept thinking it would exploit more on some of the subjects, like the historical background or maybe the magical theme or something about reincarnation, so it would not end up too superficial; the narrator's voice changes in some chapters, it sounds like a total different person.
"Vampire update"
A modern Bram Stroker Dracula and more, excellent!!
"A book without end"
I liked The Pillars... so I was interested in reading the sequel, it's tooooo long, the story is good but innecessarily long, maybe the abridged version it's a better option.
Still after reading Ken Follet's works, definitely Umberto Eco is the king.
