Andrea Sachs, a small-town girl fresh out of college, is hired as the assistant to Miranda Priestly, the successful editor of Runway magazine. Andrea finds herself in an office that shouts Prada! Armani! Versace! at every turn. As things escalate from the merely unacceptable to the downright outrageous, Andrea begins to realize that the job a million girls would die for may just kill her. And even if she survives, she has to decide whether the job is worth the price of her soul.

    "Better than the Movie"
    Overall

I found this story to be so much better than the movie. I don't want to take anything away from the actors but this book had such a strong personalities.

In July 2004, Barack Obama electrified the Democratic National Convention with an address that spoke to Americans across the political spectrum. Now, in The Audacity of Hope, Senator Obama calls for a different brand of politics: a politics for those weary of bitter partisanship and alienated by the "endless clash of armies" we see in Congress and on the campaign trail; a politics rooted in the faith, inclusiveness, and nobility of spirit at the heart of "our improbable experiment in democracy".

    "American Dream"
    Overall

Obama is a great man whose story is one the chracterizes the American Dream. It is a good story about his climb to Obama's current position. Although I find him very well spoken and level headed, I was hoping to hear more about what he stands for and how we can change this country for the better. I found myself wanting something more from the book.
