I thought this was a wonderful book. The story of a child forced to grow up too fast because of his special ability. Don't get this audiobook if you are looking for a re-telling of the story from the movie. It doesn't even parallel the movie. It is its own story, standing alone, but equally riveting.
This book is star wars meets zombies. Two very good storylines on their own, but horrible when combined. I found the reading to be melodramatic and the plot lacking significantly. The character development was decent, but the overall book suffered from the lack of a captivating storyline.
This was a horrible book! The only thing more boring was the movie. While, I certainly didn't get the anti-theological theme that seems to be blazing around the movie from the book, I did get a long nap. The reading is dry and often unintelligible accents, the plot is slow to non-existent. I would not recommend this book to anyone.
