I was impressed with Sanderson's writing after he took over for Wheel of time, so I bought Mistborn - and enjoyed it very much. I'm about 1/2 way through The Way of Kings, and I must say it is awesome. Its amazing how he can pump out such quality stuff so quickly. I've been waiting for the next Fire and Ice book for 5 or 6 years, and Sanderson has put out 5 or 6 novels in that time. Anyway, this is a thoroughly enjoyable read/listen. I would recommend to anyone who likes sify.
I first read the ebook, and loved it. I have listened to all of the audio books, and was looking forward to hearing James Marsters for Ghost Story. I was greatly disappointed with the new narration. Nothing against the new guy, but after 12 books, you look forward to hearing the voices a certain way. Honestly, I will not purchase future audio books in this series if they are not narrated by Marsters. I'll even go so far as to say that they should have this one re-recorded. So I rated the book on the narration, and not the content (which would have garnered 5 stars)
Ok. First, I never write reviews. I personally thought this was the best of the series. I've listened to all of the WOT audio books at least twice. Brandon Sanderson has come into his own, and I look forward to anything he writes in the future. I never once during this book did I see a difference between Sanderson and Jordan. The only think bad I could say, is that I wanted more. I really didn't want it to end. Can't wait for the final book.
