"Awful Narration"
Its hard to know if this book is worthwhile because, for the first time ever, I was unable to listen to the narration. It is shrill, melodramatic, and so annoying that I just couldn't finish it. I managed to make it to the end in the first book in the series, but the voice used for the main character in this one was unbearable.
"An absolute treat!!"
This was my first Anne Bishop book and I am going to race out and buy as many others as I can find. There is a thrill that comes when I discover a book and am immediately engrossed. My imagination was completely captured by the original, complex, and enthralling world, with fabulous characters, scary creatures, and plenty of drama and suspense. The finale was gripping and it will seem a very long wait for the next installment. I enjoyed the narration - the main character's voice was very girly, but that seemed consistent with Meg's innocence. One of my best purchases from Audible in a long time!!
"Fun Supernatural Romance"
Although I have read many reviews comparing this book to Molly Harper, I didn't find it similar, except the narrator is the same. The story revolves around 'magicals' who each have their own unique magic ability, and can only function in either day or night. A combination of fantasy, mystery and romance, with plenty of humor and excellent narration, this book is definitely worth a credit.
"Good romance made even better by narrator."
This was a good romance with plenty of substance in the story, as well as many loveable family members to follow. Just enough detail to keep it interesting and not too fluffy, with some steaminess as well. The narration by Lauren Fortgang was fabulous!
"Good steamy romance!"
I enjoyed this performance and the story was fun. All the characters were engaging, although I found Kiera to be very selfish and childish at times. My main issue with this book is its length. It was repetitive at times and needed a decent editor to cut out the numerous unnecessary parts. Rebekka Ross was excellent.
"Great Start to a Wonderful Series!"
The story of Charles and Anna is romantic and full of adventure. Please, please, please Amazon make all these books available to Australian listeners!
"Enjoyable Fairytale Romance"
This could have been a formula romance but is set apart by the amount of detail the author includes. Instead of making the story drag, this makes the story and the characters more interesting. Combined with excellent narration, additional fun characters, and some steamy moments. this romance exceeded my expectations and was definitely worth a credit.
"Solid Romance"
Good follow-up to "Love Unscripted" that continues the story of Taryn and Ryan. The narrator is excellent and the story unfolds as expected. My only problem with this book is that the final chapters seem very rushed. Most of the story is told in detail and it disappointingly finishes too quickly. It felt as though the author had a deadline to meet and was racing to completion. It is still well worth a credit.
"Entertaining and Fun"
This series is light and entertaining. If you are expecting great literature, you will be disappointed, but if you are looking for a well-written romance that follows the traditional formula, these stories are fun. The narration is easy to listen to, the Sullivan family are too good to be true, but likeable, and Bella Andre writes a steamy love scene as well as any I've read. Good for bedtime listening of if you want to switch your brain off and enjoy yourself.
