It’s Gin Blanco's party - and you’ll cry if she wants you to. Against her better judgment, Gin is coerced into attending a high-society gala with the rest of Ashland's elite underworld. On display: the priceless art collection of her deceased nemesis, Mab Monroe, and an excess of crime-boss swagger. While not comfortable in her fancy attire, Gin gets vastly more interested in the evening’s events when a group of thieves bursts in and tries to seize the valuable, dangerous gems.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The book reads like a Die Hard movie more than the other books. There isn't as much time devoted to her motivations and her relationships with the other characters. 3/4th of the book is about killing with out much explanation why we should even care. The last 1/4 of the book is made up of the stuff I like. Her relationship with Finn, Owen, her sister etc.

I hope the 9th book is much better.

Don't miss The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, soon to be a major motion picture, in theaters August 2013. Danger intensifies for the Shadowhunters as the New York Times best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy comes to a close. If the only way to save the world was to destroy what you loved most, would you do it? The clock is ticking. Everyone must choose. Passion. Power. Secrets. Enchantment. Danger closes in around the Shadowhunters in the final installment of the best-selling Infernal Devices trilogy.

If you could sum up The Clockwork Princess in three words, what would they be?

    Many plot twists

What does Daniel Sharman bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

I like that Will and his sister's accents are different than Charlotte and the rest of the London characters. I don't know if it is really a Yorkshire accent but it works for me. I like that Magnus and Tessa actually sound American. I like his voice much more that I liked Ed Westwick's.
