    What made the experience of listening to The Gates the most enjoyable?

    Simply delightful, clever, witty, creepy and engaging. I loved every moment of this book. Elegantly written, hilarious dialogue and an amazing performance by Jonathan Cake.

    This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

    I can't recommend it as a zombie novel. It's more about one person's escape and encounters than life after the world changes. I thought the character was silly and not too smart, likely unable to survive.

    The narration was well done. I just didn't care for the book and I love zombie novels.

    Would you try another book from Rhiannon Frater and/or Cassandra Campbell?

    I found the two women main characters hard to believe. They're in peril of dying by zombies at every turn but seem more focused on their emotions. Hard to swallow. I like zombie stories but not this one.


    Would you ever listen to anything by Rhiannon Frater again?

    I read another book by Rhiannon Frater that I enjoyed so I tried this one but won't buy the second in the series.
