    Story

What a great story. It takes a while to figure out who everyone is and put it together but that is ok because it is so interesting with so many different people and just when you think the story is going one way it takes a sharp turn to somewhere else. The narrator did an excellent job with the right expression and voice change. Plan on listening to all Julie Klassen books.

This book was depressing and wonderful at the same time. You can't imagine that so many bad things could happen to one person. At first it was hard to understand the narrator but after I adjusted to his voice is was very good. It kept you guessing to the very end about what really happened.

This sequel to Rekindled was wonderful. The narrator did an excellent job. This was my second time to hear a book by Tamera Alexander and I am hooked on her writing. The only thing I did not like in both books was the use of the word Whore over and over. I really don't feel words like that should be used in books that are labeled Christian fiction. The reason I read and listen only to Christian Fiction is for that very reason. I know they are safe from profanity, vulgarity and crude language. Other than that it was perfect in every way.

Amaryllis, Mississippi, is a scrappy little town of strong backbone and Southern hospitality. A brick-paved Main Street, a park, and a legendary ghost in the local cemetery are all part of its heritage. Everybody knows everybody in Amaryllis, and gossip wafts on the breeze. Its people are friendly, its families tight. On the surface, Amaryllis seems much like the flower for which it’s named - bright and fragrant. But the Amaryllis flower is poison. In the past three years, five unsolved murders have occurred in the town.
