Will Robie is a master of killing. A highly skilled assassin, Robie is the man the U.S. government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst - enemies of the state, monsters committed to harming untold numbers of innocent victims. No one else can match Robie's talents as a hitman...no one, except Jessica Reel. A fellow assassin, equally professional and dangerous, Reel is every bit as lethal as Robie. And now, she's gone rogue, turning her gun sights on other members of their agency.

Would you listen to The Hit again? Why?

Yes! I loved the story. The drama and suspense, especially between Robie and Jessica.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Will Robie, of course. He's calm, efficient, and the best at what he does. He's brilliant.

What does Ron McLarty and Orlagh Cassidy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

These two make a perfect pair. Ron's voice is perfect for this genre!

    Any additional comments?

Thank you. I sure hope there is a book 3!

Will Robie may have just made the first - and last - mistake of his career.... It begins with a hit gone wrong. Robie is dispatched to eliminate a target unusually close to home in Washington, D.C. But something about this mission doesn't seem right to Robie, and he does the unthinkable: He refuses to kill. Now, Robie becomes a target himself and must escape from his own people.

Fleeing the scene, Robie crosses paths with a wayward teenage girl, a 14-year-old runaway from a foster home. But she isn't an ordinary runaway....

At once an incredible adventure narrative and a penetrating biographical portrait, The River of Doubt is the true story of Theodore Roosevelt's harrowing exploration of one of the most dangerous rivers on earth.

If you could sum up The River of Doubt in three words, what would they be?

If you're a TR (Teddy Roosevelt) fan, then you've got to have this book. The story reveals the passion and commitment of the former president and his desire to leave the world a better place than he found it. The story was so realistic ... I could "see" myself in the canoe floating down the river in the rainforest with TR. What a battle for survival, yet what an adventure. Excellent!

LAPD cop Scott James is not doing so well, not since a shocking nighttime assault by unidentified men killed his partner, Stephanie, nearly killed him, and left him enraged, ashamed, and ready to explode. He is unfit for duty - until he meets his new partner. Maggie is not doing so well, either. The German shepherd survived three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan sniffing explosives before she lost her handler to an IED and sniper attack, and her PTSD is as bad as Scott’s. They are each other’s last chance.

Would you listen to Suspect again? Why?

If you're a dog lover ... you've got to read this book. While this is a story is about catching the "bad guys," the story illustrates the loyalty between man (or woman) and his (her) dog. The reader is taken into the mind of the dog, Maggie, and her devotion to her alpha (owner). The story is interesting as well, but I really enjoyed hearing about the German shepherd and her "take" on things. Well done.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Suspect?

    Maggie's devotion to her alpha.

Given the importance of what they do, and the controversies that often surround them, and the violent people they sometimes confront, it is remarkable that in the history of this country only four active federal judges have been murdered. Judge Raymond Fawcett has just become number five.... Nothing is as it seems and everything’s fair game in this wickedly clever new novel from John Grisham, the undisputed master of the legal thriller.

What did you love best about The Racketeer?

I listened to this book on my way to and from work ... a 40-minute drive each way. I couldn't get enough! A fascinating tale. Gripping. Very believable. The interplay of the characters was fascinating. Thank you.

What does J.D. Jackson bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

J.D. Jackson did an OUTSTANDING job narrating. Very believable.

How much better would your life be if you had an army of Nobel Laureates, MacArthur ‘geniuses’ and National Medal of Science winners whispering tips in your ear about your body language, or how to resist that impulse purchase you’ll regret tomorrow, or when to sell your car - or even helping you trick your spouse into doing the dishes?

What would have made Brain Trust: Free Excerpt better?

Stick closer to write-up. The narrator talked much about bugs!

What was most disappointing about Garth Sundem’s story?

Didn't match write-up for free version.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

    None
