Why we think it’s a great listen: It’s easy to say that when it comes to sci-fi you either love it or you hate it. But with Ender’s Game, it seems to be you either love it or you love it.... The war with the Buggers has been raging for a hundred years, and the quest for the perfect general has been underway for almost as long. Enter Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the result of decades of genetic experimentation.

Kapila says: "6 titles in the series so far"
    "One of my favorites....!"
    Overall

This story is very well read by multiple actors that do a great job! The story itself is sci-fi perfection. It ranks (to me) next to Stranger in a Strange Land for originality and believability.

What made the experience of listening to Halo the most enjoyable?

Amazon.com lost my original review when the hijacked Audible. Since I can no longer my original review and have not listened to this title in some time I can only give and good bad or ugly.

However I have listened to the entire series several times.

The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

Who was your favorite character and why?

Can't say for sure. I think it was the hot neighbor wife that know what she wants and how she's going to get it. Then again the scientist dude that had the forethought to save book. Book last long er than brains......

Steeped in Celtic mythology and the political intrigue of medieval Britain, Lawhead's trilogy conjures up an ancient past while holding a mirror to contemporary realities. Prepare to hear an epic tale that dares to shatter everything you thought you knew about Robin Hood.

Although born to rule, Aidan lives as a scribe in a remote Irish monastery on the far, wild edge of Christendom. Secure in work, contemplation, and dreams of the wider world, a miracle bursts into Aidan's quiet life. He is chosen to accompany a small band of monks on a quest to the fabled city of Byzantium, where they are to present the beautiful and costly hand-illuminated Book of Kells to the emperor of all Christendom.

It's been a while since I have listened to this story but, what I recall I liked. Nothing stands out to me as amazing but I do like the Author so I probably overlook the things that I don't like. Mr Lawhead makes a good story that usally has lots of historical and or imaginative detail.

On a brisk autumn day, a 13-year-old boy stands on the shores of the gray Atlantic, near a silent amusement park and a fading ocean resort called the Alhambra. The past has driven Jack Sawyer here: His father is gone, his mother is dying, and the world no longer makes sense. But for Jack everything is about to change. For he has been chosen to make a journey back across America - and into another realm. One of the most influential and heralded works of fantasy ever written, The Talisman is an extraordinary novel of loyalty, awakening, terror, and mystery.

I'm sure I reviewed this when purchased , but I will again.

I have been following the Dart Tower series and everything related to it and this is just another piece in that huge puzzle. A must listen to if you have not yet listened to Black House.

Have you listened to any of Frank Muller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

    The best in the biz.
