The Curtlees are a powerful force in San Francisco, unscrupulous billionaires who’ve lined every important pocket in the Bay Area in pursuit of their own ascent. So when the family’s heir, Ro Curtlee, was convicted of rape and murder a decade ago, the fallout for those who helped to bring him to justice was swift and uncompromising. The jury foreman was fired from his job and blacklisted in his industry. The lead prosecutor was pushed off the fast track, her dreams of becoming district attorney dashed.

    What disappointed you about Damage?

    It was a best seller

What could John Lescroart have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Read talented authors, go back to school, learn how to write real dialogue.

    Which scene was your favorite?

When the 3 old asks how someone disappointed her father. All interactions with children were written like an Ozzie and Harriet script

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Leave that to a high school professor

    Any additional comments?

I will never again download a book after seeing several copies on a supermarket shelf with best seller signs. Definitely a Walmart read

Lisbeth Salander—the heart of Larsson’s two previous novels—lies in critical condition, a bullet wound to her head, in the intensive care unit of a Swedish city hospital. She’s fighting for her life in more ways than one: if and when she recovers, she’ll be taken back to Stockholm to stand trial for three murders. With the help of her friend, journalist Mikael Blomkvist, she will not only have to prove her innocence, but also identify and denounce those in authority.

I listened to the others in the series and wanted a little closure to the tale,
    No I didn't
Oh my it does go on. Predictable childish sense of good and evil. Tries to be PC to the detriment of the story, NO SOUL, no opinion just drones on

Returning to the territory he so brilliantly explored in his masterful New York Times best seller American Gods, the incomparable Neil Gaiman offers up a work of dazzling ingenuity, a kaleidoscopic journey deep into myth that is at once startling, terrifying, exhilarating, and fiercely funny, a true wonder of a novel that confirms Stephen King's glowing assessment of the author as "a treasure house of story, and we are lucky to have him."

No doubt being stuck on an airplane with this book will lower you IQ. I've read patterson books before, was I younger? Like it was written by a 12 year old, of courses a stupid 12 year old. Putting aside the inaccuracies, it's still a silly book that will leave you feeling duped if you make it through.

I don't know why this was so enjoyable it may not be the greatest story in the world nor is it a literary tresure. It is some great storytelling.
It didn't suffer from unbelievable plot twists it was a pleasurable experience start to finish. Never slow without forced action. Good character development.... I have to get more from this author.
