"There are lots of reasons to raise the dead - some private, some public. In this case, the feds have a witness who died before he could speak on the record. They want him raised so his testimony can be taken. So here I am, on a plane to Philadelphia, flying off to do my job."

On this one love the story behind the character, the narrator was terrible, it was as if she were reading a story to a bunch of kids about to fall asleep . read it do not whisper it and use a grown up voice to do it. I will never listen to any thing she reads again. It was that bad.....go back to reading kids books leave these to the grown ups.

Malcolm, head of the vampire Church of Eternal Life, is no particular friend to Anita Blake. So when he shows up in her office, to ask for her help against creatures so feared that no vampire will willingly speak their name, Anita is surprised. But she believes him. Malcolm may not be a Master of the City, but he's an old and powerful vampire, a leader of men, and he does not easily ask for help - especially from Anita and Jean-Claude, whose power Malcolm considers corrupt.

The narrator on this one takes a little getting used to, does not get into character very well but is over all okay.
