The book is written with one person as the narrator/hero yet each chapter is read by a randomly selected person and the quality is clearly different with each person reading. most of the sections are very poor quality indeed. Constant skips, noise and static make this classic book all but impossible to follow.
John Glover is a good actor/narrator but it does take half the book for him to get a good feel for the characters and the nuance of there speech. The story it self is great and once you get past the dramatic change in voice it is a good listen.
If they redo this with James Marsters as narrator I would be more than willing to but it.
Not a true zombie apocalypse but a new twist on the idea. She makes some technical errors as well on how EMP's work but if you can get past that its a good read. The ending was very abrupt, she should either have ended it a bit later or sooner.
The plot is quite interesting and the universe works well but the multiple threads are so fractured it is hard to keep track and what could have been said in a paragraph gets 5 to ten pages. This could have used a good editor. It would also have worked if the book was split in two and the plot lines disentangled a bit between the books.
