Getting a real feel for the troubles of Eastern Europe during the early part of WWII. Not as familiar to Westerners as the occupation of France and the battle of Britain

I haven't read any other of his books, and don't think I'll bother.
The reader had the annoying approach of trying a Mexican accent for gevala. Sounded more like a comic imitation of a Mafia wise guy.

Effiminate. Accent didn't sound right.
Complex and interesting study, not only of the crime, but also the investigators..
Appears to have been written as a movie idea. Too preposturous of a plot for a serious mystery or whatever this pretends to be.
Guidall is an excellent performer.
Not read anything else by Martini
