"Not my cup of tea, but....."
This isn't the type of story I like. The performance was pretty good, but i finished it wanting something more.
"Started slow, but then......."
I found this hard to get in to at first, but by the end I wanted more. In final assessment, this is a good book that is well narrated.
"Didnt think I'd like it, but then......"
I really wasn't too sure but this book, but by the end I was hooked in. I enjoyed the travel setting and story more than the contemporary portion. Still, not a bad book.
"Unexpected Finish"
Good finish to a long series. This book finished the series in a manner consistent with the others. I believe Robert Jordan would be proud of the nice work done. Hold on because this book moves at a fast pace and gets busy fast. From time to time I needed to back away from it to settle down. Loads of twists and turns with a crazy negative air. I loved it!
"A bit sow"
This one comes across as something to fill the void between 3 and 5. Several points needed for continuity, so don;t recommend passing it by. Not my favorite, but still okay.
Some of the name pronunciations changed. I found that distracting.
"Not bad, but"
Good book overall. I found it better than its predecessor. A little slow in several areas, but not too bad. Several twists and turns that are unexpected.
Annoying that pronunciation of some names changed after the first three, creating a minor distraction. This book is too deep in for that.
"Good book, Naration left something to be desired"
I enjoyed this story. It was a pretty good sequal to the Wizards First Rule. Once again Terry Goodkind has put some intriquing twists and turns in it. The main characters remained.
On the downside, the naration sounded pretty robotic for most of the story. After a few hours it became less of a distraction. I thought Wizards First Rule was better narated.
Overall, I would recommend this book. Just be patient and work through the naration.
"Good book; Good performance"
A fanciful battle between good and evil. It is well written, twisting within the story line while offering surprises at unexpected times.
The reading was well done. Sam Tsoutsouvas did a nice job of keeping it interesting through consistency of cadence, voice and clarity.
If you like fantasy, put this one on your list!
"Great Book"
This is a facinating book that is well written and well read. Loads of intrique (as you would expect) and suspense. About the time you believe you have the characters figured, some element changes.
"Cold Vengence"
In general the book was well written. Story lines and intrique were well developed and executed.
Naration was verry good, with clear diction and good cadence.
The down side was the ending. It stopped so abrupt that it felt as if it was not finished. Not a cliffhanger, but a full stop in mid thought. I have not read the book, but will read the ending to see if the audio recording was truncated.
