Loved the self-deprecating humor included in the trials and tribulations of the journey. I also enjoyed the history of the AT included in the story. I thought the narrator did a wonderful job and made me laugh out loud with some of this characterizations. Very nicely done!
I am having a very difficult time getting through this installment of the series. I cannot relate the narrator's voice to the character. Her accent, pronunciation and inflection are all wrong. If this is the narrator of the next books in the series, this will be my last. Bring back Michele Pawk!!!!
I totally enjoyed the writing style which flipped back and forth from the past to present day. The author created a great deal of suspense - we know something bad happened to the heroine but never learned details until much later into the story. The british accents of the narrators were most delightful and I don't think I would have enjoyed the story as much had I simply read it.
After listening to the first 10 books in this series, I was greatly disappointed to have a new narrator. I had become accustomed to the various voices Carolyn McCormick used with the different characters and with January LaVoy that was all lost. I don't know if I will continue the series on audio if Carolyn McCormick does not come back.
