I love a book with suspense and romance (not all mushy, mushy). This one has both and held my interest from the beginning to the end. This was my second audio by Jennifer Crusie and will purchase more of them. It could become a movie, except they would butcher the story when they rewrite and start filming, so maybe it should be left alone as a book. I wish she would write a sequel about the brother--maybe I will go to her website and suggest it.
Every time I write a review on these audio tapes, I can't stress it enough, the narrator can make or break a book. Angela Dawe's does a wonderful job distinguishing the characters--you can hear the difference (will listen to more from her as well).
Get it, you will enjoy. Glad to be the first to review.
Funny, enjoyable! I am already purchasing the second Book in the series. Julia Whelan, another great read (listen)!!
This one turned out to be better that I thought--glad I listened. Very controlling mother in this one, but the main characters get past it--thank goodness.. I was drawn to it by the narrator. She has become one of my favorite.
Yes, I will look for other books by this author and most definitely when JW is the narrator. As a matter of fact, I just purchased another book with JW narrating.
Great series--I hope she write another KH writes another one in the Blue Heron Series. Good story, believable characters Wish there was more in the story. I can't say enough good things about the narrator. I am getting ready to search for another book that she has read.
Great series--She makes the characters warm, believable. It's a great story. Love books with substance as well as romance. This one fit the bill.
Again, Amy Rubinate makes the story even better--a great narrator.
Not sure how many times I have listened to it and finally decided I would write a review. This is a great book--will look for more by Ms. Higgins. The narrator just made it better.
By the time I finished it, I was glad. I thought the characters were a little silly as well as the book. Maybe I would have liked it better if I had read it, but not sure. I thought it was rushed in the story and I also I got the feeling that the book was rushed because they put too much into one recording instead of dividing it up as they generally do with a 10 hour book. I've seen it divided in an eight hour book (I think)--I wonder why not on this one.
Tanya Eby seemed rushed in some of the scenes.
I just found Marie Force and will be listening again. This is a good story--a little mushy at times but still good. I look forward to the next family member to hook up. I hope it comes soon. Love families that take care of and think of all the members of the family. Wish a lot more of us would.
Kate Rudd was great--found another narrator that I can listen to more than just one time.
I read the reviews and I am glad I chose the book. Good story. The narrator was great. I will look for more books by the JP and other books narrated by the JW. I did question whether someone straight out of high school would be so knowledgeable of life but then I remembered from the start you could tell/feel she was quite intelligent. I will listen again.
This was not Ms Robards' best. Not enough suspense. I kept wanting to say, just get it on. It took her forever for them to mate (smile). But I will keep reading/listening to her books because I know there are better ones out there.
Need more suspense along with the romance.
Good story! She had me fooled to the end. Maybe I missed it, but was the second child mentioned earlier? But I don't want to give away the book. Sandra Brown writes a great book. Stephen Lang--great job!!
