I love a book with suspense and romance (not all mushy, mushy). This one has both and held my interest from the beginning to the end. This was my second audio by Jennifer Crusie and will purchase more of them. It could become a movie, except they would butcher the story when they rewrite and start filming, so maybe it should be left alone as a book. I wish she would write a sequel about the brother--maybe I will go to her website and suggest it.
Every time I write a review on these audio tapes, I can't stress it enough, the narrator can make or break a book. Angela Dawe's does a wonderful job distinguishing the characters--you can hear the difference (will listen to more from her as well).
Get it, you will enjoy. Glad to be the first to review.
Surely Gigi will be the next character .I have enjoyed each and everyone of the Half-Moon Hollow books--others as well. Ms. Harper keep them coming. Please keep Amanda Ronconi as the narrator. She just makes the books so much more. This one has to be the beginning of her next book. I can't wait to see who the mysterious character is.
Enjoyed hearing about the other characters from her previous books.
Folks the narrator can make a break the book, and Ms. McFadden is the wrong one for this book. I have heard heard her before and thought she was good. I like the story--think I will change my mind and give it four stars, but not the narrator. She rushes it. I know Angela Dawe reads fast, but this was way too fast. Not sure I will get the third book since Ms. McFadden is performing unless it's a darn good price. Don't you wonder sometimes how they decide who will perform a book and if that person has gotten good reviews, why would you change it?
This was good. I prefer books with substance but with a little romance. This one fit the bill. The characters were good. Tanya Eby was good. You couldn't help but be proud of Luke's younger brother. I'm checking out Julia London's website to see when the next episode is coming out--can't wait. This is why I prefer to not read any of the books until they are all written, published, on the book shelf or on Audible
I have enjoyed everything read by Amanda Ronconi. I loved the book, learned a lot about Kentucky--Molly Harper does a great job in her stories. I wish the book wree longer
I've read all of her Julie Garwood's legal stories and have loved all of them. Waiting on the next so that I can download.
The book was better than I thought it would be. Jake was quite strong and held his ground--stood up to the old man". Natalie Ross does an excellent performance. Looking forward to the story of the next sister and will the old man finally see the error or his ways.
I didn't figure it out until the end! Good plot, Christina Traister did a very good job on narration.Think I will get another Lisa Jackson book.
Very good. I could not put it down. Listened to the book through while sorting through old paperwork. The story was great. Rachel Gibson can be proud of herself again.
While reading, I had to check out what other books Emma Bates had narrated so that I could add them to my list to listen to. This is her first narration on Audible, as far as I can tell. She brought the story out, did the characters well--she just did an excellent job. I will most defintely look for others that she will narrate. Whoevever makes these decisions, use her again.
This was worth the credit. I look forward to the next RG book.
This is ridiculous--are there really families like this. I can't believe it. I want my credit back.
This was a good story, Like one of the other reviewers, I love Thing 1. I enjoyed all the characters.
I have said it more than one time, the narrator can make a book. JE was not right for this story, especially after listening to the narrator in the first story. JE would be better on other books.
