"Have Enjoyed All Of The Virgin River Series"
Ms Carr holds your interest throughout, surprises you and I can't say enough about the narrator.
"Good Story, Wrong Narrator"
Good story. I would have given it 5 all the way however Christina Traister was just wrong narrator for this book. I have listened to her more many times and know she is so much better.
The book was suspenseful, enjoyed it throughout.
"Predictable & Boring"
As much as I like Debbie Macomber's books, this was not one of them. I am like the previous reviiewer, I slippped off many a time listening to it. I did go back though to listen to what I missed but it wasn't much.
The Narrator - You could tell the differences in character by the narrator, but gosh she got on my nerves when that "proper" voice came out (I dislike being harsh). I will think twice if she is narrating another one that I might want to listen to.
The premise of the story was a good one if it had been pulled off by another narrator, I guess. I was ready for it to end. I can't believe I am saying this about a DM book, but I am--Disappointing!!
"Ready For Next Installment"
Great, entertaining and the performance was well done as well. My only issue is that I wish the author had mentioned the previous characters a little more. But it wasn't there story, so.... No matter, as I noted, I am ready for the next installment. When Ms James?
"Good"
This was a good story. Enjoyed the way the author wove the story back to something that happened a good many years ago and they meet. I always enjoy Renee Rudman's narrating--She adds an acting ability. Would have given the performance a 5, however, Paul Costanzo has a good voice, but is "boring".
"Loved It--Can't wait to Listen Again"
The characters were built up so well. The narration was wonderful, loved CT's northeast accent as well as the Louisiana accent. A complete surprise on one of the "villians" at the end (don't want to spoil it for those trying to decide). Most definitely worth the credit.
"Narration NOT RIGHT!!!!!!!!"
I have read Sharon Sala's books before and have enjoyed them--this was not her best. But maybe it was the narration. I hope the next story about Holly is better; maybe it was the narration (I say again). She should have just read it rather than trying to perform a difference in the characters. For that I think she messed up the story.
"Enjoyed It"
This was a good one. The narrator was good also. The one thing that I didn't like is how she ended the book--yes it did have a good ending, but I prefer it when the author gives you an epilogue. Especially since she lives on once coast and he lives in another country--how does it work?
Otherwise, I enjoyed it.
"Not Good!-Don't Know If I Can Read The Next Book"
I enjoyed Jill Redfied. But the book ? The consistent jumping to conclusion. I don't know what to say, besides no. And then I read the reviews of the next book--there were mixed reviews on it--not on the positive side.
"Enjoyed it Better By Reading"
I thought it was good book when I read it a few years back--it was suspenseful. Now, not as good. I say it consistently in my reviews, the narrator can make or break a review. Renee Raudman (RR), very, very good, Paul Costanzo, not enough expression. Maybe it was because he read it in the "third person"--I think that they probably need a little acting ability--he has a good voice, but not the acting. RR did.
"Loved It"
I absolutely loved it--wish she had introduced a cousin or other relative to continue the series. I most definitely will listen again. Good story with a little suspense!!
I think the narrator has become one of the favorite readers of women's romance books. You could hear the difference in the voices of the characters.
