Loved the book when it came out over 30 years ago. Some SF/Fantasy books dont hold up over this length of time but this one surely does. The story is riveting and the narrator fantastic.
One of the most engrossing stories I have listened to. All of the characters are whole and fleshed out so well they become real. The storyline is mesemerizing and you will live and die as mankind tries to hold on in the aftermath of a virulent plague which turns most of mankind into souless virals. Peter and Alesha along with Amy a little girl who kept her humanity after being infected go on a journey to determine what happened and find a way to preserve the last of mankind
I dont think so. This is supposedly one of his top books and I almost didnt finish. Tyler loves Diane, Diane loves God and Jason loves himself and oh by the way an alien race has covered the earth in a shroud for unknown reasons. Could not identify with any of the characters and never really grasped the cause of time differential between Earth and the rest of the universe. Was it ever explained?
This is the one and only book of his I have tried
He was an ok narrator
No it needed to get to the point in a third of the time
