"outstanding"
This is an outstanding novel and very well read, nice twists and turns and a satisfactory conclusion. Very well worth the download
"Just when you think you have it figured, you don't"
Yes, it has twists and turns and the ultimate turn leaves you going "what!"
The last chapter
Probably the abduction, It had the feeling of the raw emotions that were running through the main character.
As above, the abduction scene.
Well worth the download.
"Very well narrated,"
edge of seat
The twists and turns that constantly occur throughout the book. You are lead to think the direction is one way and then are disabused of that notion.
Very well narrated, though the acent drifted all around the north east of England at times. However the overal naration was superb, certainly an edge of seat performance.
Yes but I can't say without ruining a major plot line.
This is the first Tania Carver novel I have listened to, but I can guarantee it won't be the last.
"Yet another success"
Will Patton's naration, I almost have to stop and look round to see if there are any alligators in the swamp.
I like twists and turns and this had some good ones.
"Nice to go back"
In the top 15%, If you consider when it was written, it would be a lot higher. It was the first Val Mcdermid book I ever read and has lead to a long and happy succession of others.
The twists and turns of the plot.
Does the characters very well, and kept the impetus of the story going.
I do find Dr. Hill's comment very worth a chuckle now and again, sort of a deadpan, grave humor, no pun intended.
"The end did seem rather sudden"
The narrator was excellent
Not really, I prefer to sip rather than quaff books, but that is a personal preference.
I liked the plot, enjoyed going back to revisit an earlier episode and found the majority of the book enjoyable. It is a measure of how engrossing the characters are when you start thinking that they need shaking and some strong advice next time you see them, until you remember this is fiction. I did, however find the ending somewhat truncated and unsatisfcatory. No point in revealing it but it was a bit predictable. Still very enjoyable on the whole though.
"Nice to be able to go back to the begining"
You just get caught up in the twists and turns of the plot and the characters
Tony
I read the book many years ago and now I get to liten to itwhen driving on a long comute. It has not lost the ability to draw me in and it was nice to be able to listen to the start of the series again.
