"A Must Listen"
I've been a Sedaris fan for a number of years now and am so pleased with his latest work. Not only was I laughing out loud but my husband, who typically HATES audiobooks in general, asked to listen to it again and again. Worth more than one credit :)
"Entertaining Storytelling"
Kathy is the master of honest and crazy storytelling. I loved this book and especially appreciated Kathy's honesty.
"Weird and not funny"
This book was a little too out there for me. Tried too hard to be outrageous and ended up falling on its face.
"Best Audio Book I've Encountered"
It's awesome. Download it, you will laugh and want to listen to it all at once... it's that good. I am re-listening now. Do it now!
"Spectacular"
Gorgeous story. Not political- just an honest, beautiful, and insightful account told by an unarguably great man.
"Excellent"
One of my favorite audiobooks- so uplifting and mature. Obama offers up a spirit of excellence, cooperation, and intelligence as he talks about his political journey, ambitions, and family. It's difficult not to like him especially when contrasted with Palin's audiobooks that are tinged with lost-election-bitterness and inappropriate combativeness. If purchasing, be ready to pay attention- if your attention wanders for a second, you can get lost.
"Moderately Good"
This book offers some good and some bad for listeners. It moves slowly and covers themes that are pretty everyday. That said- it was well written and uplifting in encouraging perseverance when change is difficult. I would say worth a credit.
"Self Indulgent"
Borderline unlistenable. The author finds every way possible to pat himself on the back while he explains themes that are pretty obvious. I typically love books that are self help focus however this particular book feels like a rip-off. Really wish I could "return" this one.
