In their second book on our current White House occupant, Ivins and Dubose take the wire brush to the Bush presidency and show how he has applied the same flawed strategies he used in governing Texas to running the largest superpower in the world.

    Overall

Excellent read! If you find that today's America, as run by "President" Bush, is not the place for you, then Ms. Ivins' and Mr. DuBose's read gives a full account as to why. In this book, you will learn why anti-americanism has become chic, why we are better off with a weak military in an otherwise peacful world, and why turning over our national security to our friends such as Syria, China, and France in the United Nations is in our best security interest. The authors clearly present why "President" Bush has hurt this nation's chances to become part of the global govenmewnt by dissolving our own soverignity.

  • Because They Hate: A Survivor of Islamic Terror Warns America

Because They Hate is a political wake-up call. Brigitte Gabriel, who lost her childhood to militant Islam, warns that the United States is threatened by fundamentalist Islamic theology in the same way that Lebanon was - that radical Islam will stop at nothing short of domination of all non-Muslim countries. Fiercely articulate and committed, Gabriel both tells her own story and outlines the history, social movements, and religious divisions that have led to this critical historical conflict.

    "Awesome!"
    Overall

First of all, I became interested in this book after listening to Bridgett Gabriel on various radio interviews. Her stories of how Lebanon disintegrated from a Christian metropolis into a Palestinian terror state that first targeted the Lebanese and then Israel is spoken with incredible integrity and truth.

Her credibility to speak of the threats that radical Islam present are unparalleled. Her gut wrenching accounts of her life and standard of living while in Lebanon are almost unbearable to read/listen to due to the magnitude of the tragedy.

The listen ability of this audio book is very high. Ms. Gabriel is the reader and at times you can feel the pain and anguish she has suffered and been witness to.

Overall, this book is on my must read list and I am already bugging all of my friends to go out and pick it up.
