Soulful and sultry, Jennifer Hudson wowed the world with her powerful voice in American Idol's third season, and then took Hollywood by storm with a star turn in Dreamgirls that won her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. Full of stories from her American Idol days, her experience acting in Dreamgirls, and how her son inspired her to want to live healthfully, this book is a gift for her millions of fans and an inspiration for anyone struggling with weight issues.

I cannot even get into this book far enough to rate it fairly. The poor narration simply overwhelms everything to the point where I'm not even listening to the story (ex. the repeated pronunciation of the word "ask" as "axe"). Hopefully I can find a decent hard copy of the book and give it a fair shake by reading it for myself.

  • 11-22-63: A Novel

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Absolutely incredible performance of this wonderful book by the incomparable Stephen King. The interwoven tidbits from past King books was a delight to the true fan.

I did not want the story to end and was in a funk for days after I finished listening to this tale. I'm not one to re-read books or re-watch movies but I will indeed given this another listen in the future.
