If you seek to understand the struggles of addiction, this book will provide information about the biological process, the behavioral processes, and how you and others move in and out of those processes. Its a little heavy at times, but its worth listening to.
The chapter called "A word to family, friends, and caregivers" had a lot to say about being a healthy participant in an addicts life. Its not all peaches and cream, but its honest and pure.
No, this was my first Audible book.
Suspensful, witty, modern
No idea, because this is my first fiction
Veep. She was smart, shy, and had a sharp wit about her.
I laughed out loud at the dialogue a few times.
In an effort to push out of my non-fiction box, I gave this book a try. Much to my surprise, I found myself creating situations that would allow me to listen to more of the book. I like the modern references to things that are sort of pop-culture and the witty banter of the characters. The reader's voice for each character was awesome!! They were so well done that you could recognize which character was talking without the "said Joe" stuff. I will go on to look for more good fiction like this one.
