"have seen better"
Ok. The narration was hard to follow. I know Indian accents very well but it was overdone to the point that it was interfering with the enjoyment of the book. And what about the plot and characters: it seems like this book has been compiled by borrowing plots from different bollywood movies over the last few decades. And only the dark sides. There are better books about India than this. The White Tiger was definitely better than this. I am not expecting much depth from this author anymore
"Don't waste your time"
Boring book, this book was written by someone who hasn't the slightest idea about cowboys or Cossacks.
"just an average book"
A well written story of a stubborn woman and a responsible cop who knows how to get his way. You know how it ends. Great narration and the story flows really well. The plot is average. I heard the whole book hoping for twists and turns but there was nothing.
"smooth and entertaining"
Walter is a complicated man and his reasons for finding eliza are mysterious yet meaningful. It was worth waiting till the end to find out why.
If you are looking for a good story with great writing style, good dialogues and a short read, this book will satisfy you.
This isn't great literature but it worked great on my commute as I could get immersed easily in the combination of writing/narration. The story is flowing and there was no superflous material. Too many audiobooks fail to engage when I'm driving and not at 100% concentration.
"skip this book"
Conclusion: skip this book
Why? First, the narration is awful. You won't know what character is speaking and it causes a lot of confusion.
Second, the story does not flow very well, the characters are not very well developed and the scenes are not set clearly.
