History hasn't been kind to Marie Antoinette. I found her to be a very sympathetic and misuderstood woman, who was a victim of the political fervor. One can listen to this book and draw parallels to the damage that gossip and ennuendo could do to current public figures. As to the reviewer who was perturbed by the pronunciation of "murray" rather than "Marie", one has to take in account that it is probably more accurate to the French pronunciation. I appreciated that the reader took pride in proper pronunciation rather than anglicizing foreign names and terms.
