K even Hearne is to Jim Butcher as spam is to tri tip. Luke Daniels amplifies the suck 10 fold expecially when oberon is involved. Read the book. Leave this audio version alone.
Through this series I have grown to hate all of B.V. Larson's characters. At this point it seems to be more about Kyle Riggs getting "laid" than any real science fiction. It is disappointing because when he wants to B.V. Larson writes great hard science fiction. But I've noticed the same patterns in protagonists from other novels of his.
This book kept my attention. The narrator is good and the subject matter while not my usual fare was engaging.
This story was exceedingly well written for a novel that has no business in the sci-fi genre. There is little to no science in it beside possibly that of the science of torture. I like my protagonists good or grey but darker motivations are alright as long as the character is honest about it. Its actually really aggrivating to hear the main character justify is unforgivable acts.
I enjoyed "confessions of a d-list supervillain" so much i went looking for similar books. I found this one and wasn't disappointed. The only thing i didn't quite enjoy was the cyclical nature of some of the characters.
This is a must listen for all fans of the series and for those of you who need James Marsters he's back too. I found the previous tale to be a lull in the dresden's legacy, this book however is the exact opposite. The most exciting of Butcher's dresden series yet.
ya its just that good. Doug has definately found a medium here in the land of the living cuz. this is just that kind of humor. Not to take anything away from our true author but it just had to be said. I was laughing and nostalgic the whole time! ya to many exclamations well it deserves it. Treat yourself to this little story you wont regret it.
(by doug i mean douglas adams)
Well its easy to see why they let John retrofit this novel for the new sci fi era. IT IS fantastic. I was engaged and entranced throughout the performance as Wil Wheaton's voice coaxes you along as you struggle for the recognition due a sentient being! YOU ARE SO GONNA LOVE THIS!
My personal favorite of all the Heinlein novels. Heinlein takes you on a intergalactic voyage from rags to riches.
starts out well enough but the constant moaning of the main character really got on my nerves.
