The elders of Real Truth church can see so much yet not that there is a druggie in their mist. Yet they see that she has real talent.

Disappointed. It was disappointing to have a female character as so weak and needy. She was only able to complete an assignment with the help of her drug suppliers. She could not find her way out of a paper bag unless she stumbled on the opening.

No. I only finished the book because I would listen to it as I was falling asleep. That way I was able to avoid her getting high and stupid mistakes and whinning.

How much does it say when a person needs a pill to make her purpose bareable.

I enjoyed Celia in the first book and expected her character to be developed and revelation of what her powers could be. Instead she reacting to elements and softly walking around trying not to offend people because she is a vampire.
For me the series stops here.

Parents should love their child but they should realistically KNOW their child. This is one of those stories that is a parent's nightmare. How well do we really know those we love.
This is a story of a loving family, mother, father and son. With the death of a classmate, the family is thrown into a nightmare which changes their lives forever.


Based on the genes we inherit can a child be a "bad seed". Is who we are determined by the behavior of those on our family tree or the environment in which we are raised.
These are questions addressed in this wonderful book.

She is a null. When supernatural person is within in a certain distance to her, their abilities do not work. Ironically, she is their clean up person when they have created a mess (dead bodies) that would alert humans to their presence.

When she arrives late to a horrific crime, the police have already been alerted and of course a police man discovers supernatural beings.

Since she was not able to “clean up” the situation becomes all her fault. Now with the clock ticking on her life to become the fall guy, it is her responsible to discover who made the mess.
Sure she can nullify supernatural powers but she is human, fragile, and never has her taser when she needs it.

Urban supernatural mystery thriller about a partially blind detective and a vampire romance author. It is a series which can be read as a s stand alone without t a lot of the repetitive background. Henry Fitzroy is the illegitimate son of Henry the VIII and Vicki is a former Toronto, Ontario police detective. She was great at her job and loved her job. If is was not for the retinosa pigmentosa. She is going blind; she has lost her night vision and most of her peripheral vision.

With her night vision disability and Henry's day light disability they make the perfect detective team. Supernatural creatures are not the norm in Toronto so there is a learning / teaching curve between the vampire and detective. There is romantic tension between Henry, Vicki and Mike Celluci; Vicki's former police partner and sometime lover.

When Henry friends (wearwolves) need some detective skills, Henry gets Vicki to help out. The Blood Trail series formula is a mystery (initiated by one of the main characters), introduction of a supernatural event / character and rivalry between the guys over Vicki and a sexual triss to add spice.

This is an entertaining urban fantasy with a headstrong, hardworking police officer. Dulcie polices the Netherworld with tenacity of a pit bull. Her job throws her into dangerous situations, but she is trained for those. It is the attraction to her boss, a warlock, which throws her life in disarray.
A very light enjoyable comedy for pleasure listening.

Molly Harper has created a quaint, funny, friendly supernaturals community. When supernatural people "came out" the people of the community realize there was an
opportunity to support the lifestyle required for supernaturals. Supermarkets stocked an assortment of blood types so vampires can pick up their favorite blood type at the local store. Some people, like Iris added a personal touch to her service to the supernatural
community.

Iris Scanlon, a resident of Half Moon, has an exclusive concierge service which caters to vampires. Iris supports her and her sister financial obligations but is still just make ends meet. Iris is an intelligent, independent woman who lives by a set of rules to reduce the possible occupational hazardous.

With all her precautions, Iris is still faced with a dilemma. Take her "work" home, breaking on of her rules take the opportunity to make extra enough money to get her out of debt.

Molly Harper female characters are women who are opinionated, funny, and headstrong. They demand respect for their intelligence, and totally unaware of their inner beauty and physical beauty.
They are woman and stories that I enjoy reading about without a lot of profanity or explicitly sex. It is an enjoyable supernatural world, read it and enjoy.

The police force investigates the murder of a young woman found in a frigid lake near a nearby note which suggests that the death is a suicide . Sara Linton former Grant County medical examiner is in the mist of it and does not believe it was suicide.
While the police feels they have their murder, Sara proceeds to prove they are wrong. Sara has has a history with the detective Lena Adams and is grows suspicious of her investigative abilities contacts the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Special agent Will Trent finds his vacation cut short in order to aid Sara, but then both of them find that a vicious killer is protected by an implacable wall of non-co-operation that the cloistered community of Grant County has built around itself.

If you enjoyed The Help you will have to read this. Caren Gray, an African American woman along with her daughter (Morgan) returns to Caren's home of her youth, Belle Vie. Belle Vie is antebellum Louisiana plantation preserved as both historical location — even down to its slave cabins — and high-end banquet site
Caren returns to her childhood home (where her mother was a cook) and childhood friends (the heirs to Belle Vie) as the banquet manager. She is surrounded with her family legacy where her ancestors were slaves.
When the body of a young woman is found on the edge of Belle Vie property mysteries of the past and present collide.
While being concern for her and Morgan's safety on 18 acres of isolated land, Caren must face her personal issues (baby daddy, first boy crush and, what to do with her life), solve a murder from the past and present.

This provides excellent background on how our young Kaylin Neya a thief, a fugitive, and an attempted assassin becomes a Hawk. That is the reason to read this.
