Depressing, although it does introduce Call and Gus.
The few times that there are humor and the introduction of Mattie.
He did a good job.
No, it was disappointing after Lonesome Dove.
Yes I would recommend this book, as a matter of fact, I'm buying a friend a print copy.
Ted's word association to give an idea of what he believes in. Ted's Christian stand point. I also agree with his anti-drug stance.
With Ted being the author and reader, the listener gets to hear the emotion in his voice when he intends it to be there, rather than with another reader.
Bring Back God, the Constitution and Morals to America.
Love him or hate him, Ted Nugent is informed with stats to back up most of the things he says. I don't agree with everything he says, However his stand on Christianity, America, the Constitution and Family are very true.
I've not read the print version.
Bob Swagger, because of his stand for freedom and he doesn't kill unless the war is brought to him morals.
Beau Bridges is a really talented audio book reader.
Gus and Call start to get better at rangering.
Gus, Call, Mattie, Clara and Newt.
When they come into Lonesome Dove for the first time.

He has a lot a emotion in his voice.
Sue Barlow, she is an interesting person.
A must listen for Cowboy or Western book lovers.
No, it is a classic, but a sad story.
The relationship between J.B. Books and his landlady going from mutual disgust to mutual respect.
He has a perfect Western character voice.
The end of an era.
Not for the weak hearted.
Bravery, Love, Friendship
Gus saving Laurie from being kidnapped.
Mr. Horsey is the best narrator I have ever heard.
I did want to listen to it all in one sitting.
If I could spend a day with any character, it would be Gus.
Cowboy Call is different from other books I have listened to, I loved it.
Cowboy Call is like no other book I have listened to.
It is more of a book that I wanted to listen to, then take awhile too think, then listen more.
Never be ashamed to province your Christianity no matter where you are or who your with.
Love wins always.
Lassiter because he has a high moral code and love for family, friends, children and eventually God.
It gave me an extreme reaction that dedication ( not religion ) , but closeness to God, love and family always wins.
Yes, I would recommend this book to friends. It is an epic novel of the American west and Mormon corruption.
True Grit is for Western genre is the best book of it's type. The story is very memorable, a true tale of the post Civil War frontier. From Maddie's Christian living, the Texas Rangers pride for the Lone Star State to Rooster Cogburn's hard exterior, tender heart, and strict way of law and order, True Grit is America in the late 1800's.
Rooster riding alone, just him and Bo ( his horse ), with reigns in teeth and both guns shooting against Ned Peppers entire gang. Rooster fights fearless and true to save a girl.
Donna brings a lot of emotion and does a great job doing men's voices.
Rooster just to hear his life story.
I am very glad that this book was rereleased, the movie was my Dad's favorite.
