"Annoying Narrator"
I was half way through the book and I thought I would check out the reviews by other listeners. I could not agree more with the other reviewers on the annoying voice of the narrator. I thought it was just me losing my patience, but apparently others thought so too!
"Disappointing"
I am a fan of Morning Joe and was looking forward to this book. I have a strong interest in the obesity epidemic. This was a "fluff" book on the topic. I would recommend the book "Fat Chance" if you are interested in a science based look at obesity.
"What a Nice Surprise!"
Thank you Audible for this free book. It was so fun to check my e-mail and find your gift. Listening to books is such a special treat. Happy Holidays!
"Candace Millard Makes History Fun!"
I would definitely listen to this book again. So interesting. Couldn't put my iPod down!
I liked the fact, that not only did I learn about James Garfield, but also about other people during that era, such as Alexander Graham Bell.
This book is not just for history lovers, but everyone.
"Couldn't stop listening"
The narrator, David LeDoux, does a superb job reading this story. Anyone who listened to The Corrections will find this novel even better.
"Worth the Listening Time!"
I alway enjoy Lee Child novels and this one was no exception. Worth the credit!
"Fascinating"
This inside account of what went on during the 2008 presidential election was quite an eye opener. There were many things I already knew, but just as much new information that I was unaware of.
"Very Disappointing"
I was confused by what exactly was the author trying to convey to the listeners. Korean women? Wall Street? Cheating partners? Fashion Industry? I listened to this book and walked away wondering what had I just listened to?
"A bit gruesome"
The plot had me hooked early on, but I actually "fast forward" through some of the scenes due to violence and some of the unnecessary sexual content.
"Different, but worth the listen"
I downloaded this book because I wanted to see what all the "hullabaloo" was about. At first I found it very disjointed and the violence against women was disturbing, but in spite of this, I would still recommend it.
