As a warder, Jackson Tybalt is one of the good guys until he sees the man he loves kissing another. Betrayed and angry, Jackson tempts danger and death, ignoring the pleas of other warders to be careful. It’s a vile mood in which to start a romance, but that doesn’t stop the kyrie Raphael, who more than anything wants Jackson for his very own. Jackson doesn’t want a hearth, he doesn’t want a lover - he just wants dark and painful, and Raphael will give him what he wants.

Lonely and tired, Annie is approached by an elegantly dressed gentleman, Jarvis. His wealthy employer wants to hire her as a dinner companion in exchange for a penthouse apartment, a generous salary and a five-figure monthly wardrobe stipend. It's an opportunity Annie can't pass up and only after living like a princess for three months does she meet her handsome benefactor. Staring into his eyes as the nighttime cityscape lights twinkled behind him, everything seems perfect. Annie, who was promised that sex wouldn't be required, learns how hard it is to resist the will of a powerful, dominant man who has changed her life.

Being a newbie to the lifestyle, I could relate with the main character. Friends have given me a brief overview of the Dom and Sub relationship dynamics, but I was not sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised.
This story was a great introduction to the BDSM lifestyle and had some nice unexpected twists.
I would recommend this to my kinky friends; to newbies and others that have been in the lifestyle for a while.

Narration was great and one could get pulled into the story with ease.

Miranda Puckett has failed at every job she’s ever had. Her mother just wants her to come home, join the family law firm, and settle down with Jason, the perfect lawyer boyfriend. But when Jason turns out to be a lying cheater, Miranda seizes on a job that gets her out of town: long-distance vampire transportation. Her first assignment is to drive vampire Collin Sutherland from Washington to sleepy Half Moon Hollow without incident—no small feat for a woman whom trouble seems to follow like a faithful hound dog!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Driving Mr. Dead?

The car accident and the aftermath.

Succubus (n.) An alluring, shape-shifting demon who seduces and pleasures mortal men. Pathetic (adj.) A succubus with great shoes and no social life. See: Georgina Kincaid. When it comes to jobs in hell, being a succubus seems pretty glamorous. A girl can be anything she wants, the wardrobe is killer, and mortal men will do anything just for a touch. Granted, they often pay with their souls, but why get technical? But Seattle succubus Georgina Kincaid's life is far less exotic.

Would you listen to Succubus Blues again? Why?

Yes, so that I can focus on the clues I missed during my first listen. It was such a good experience I listened to each part in one evening and had to force myself to stop when the first part was over.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Georgina the Succubus, as a woman who loves books (and audiobooks), I could relate to her and some of her predicaments. ;)

What about Elisabeth Rodgers’s performance did you like?

She can pull you in with her voice and her crisp annanciation of "s" sounds is oddly fitting for the characters.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Just because you are supposed to, doesn't mean you have to! (And the cliche) Don't judge a Book by its cover!

    Any additional comments?

I'd recommend it to my mother!
