I listened to this book because it was by Walter Isaacson and I really liked his biography on Steve Jobs. This book on Einstein did not disappoint.
I listened to the abridged version of this book and believe it was the right level of detail. I can't imaging more details about Einstein in the unabridged version that wouldn't result in it being too long.
I have been following health and nutrition for decades. I read a few books on the subject every year and have always been confused by the fads and how many authors espouse their opinions as fact. This book helped clear everything up and put it into perspective. If you want to learn about nutrition and how to improve your health, and have it based on decades of medical research and hundreds of peer reviewed studies then this is the book for you. This a must read in my opinion if you care about living a healthy life.
I do a lot of reading on health and nutrition. I am a life long athlete and want to live a healthy life. What I love about this book is that puts into basic terms decades of medical research and hundreds of studies. Many books focus on pushing one theme and selling something the author is pushing, and at best are based on a few poorly designed studies. What you learn in this book will blow your mind. It is so simple it's scary as are the facts about the food industry. THIS IS A MUST READ FOR EVERYONE.
If you have a medical condition that justifies that you avoid wheat then this is a good book. The problem is that wheat is a health food for the vast majority of people and this book avoids the facts of current medical research as it pertains to the benefits of wheat. I recommend reading "The China Study" if you want a book based on the facts as supported by hundreds of medical studies.
Highly recommended story on Kevin Mitnick and his life as a hacker. Narration was well done and an easy listen.
I learned a lot about this time period and Thomas Jefferson's contribution to the creation of the United States, but I think this book could have been condensed several hours at a minimum. Not sure if an abridged version exists, but would recommend it.
This was a good book with some excellent information for staying healthy. I would recommend it to anyone. I understand there is a woman specific version as well.
